Ugwu is a tropical vine grown in West Africa as a leaf vegetable and it is indigenous to southern Nigeria. It is a creeping plant and grows well if staked with bamboo sticks.
Presently, the farm lands have been cleared and organic manure has been applied in preparation for the planting of the seedlings. This week, the soil has been tested and it has the appropriate PH level. Ridges have been made to house the seedlings. Seedlings were gotten from the produce of the previous farm cycle, it has been dried and it is now fit to be planted.
